Rehearsal Schedule - Overview
Week Night Rehearsals -
Advanced Dancers Only
Rehearsals will be held at Toledo Met on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:45 - 9:00 pm.
Saturday Rehearsals
Dancers, Ages 4 - Advanced Dancers
Rehearsals will be held on Saturdays at Toledo Met between 12:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Dancers are called by role. Call schedules will be sent to dancers the Monday before the Saturday rehearsal. Not every dancer is called every Saturday.
Tech Week Rehearsals
Schedule is TBD, but sdancer attendance is mandatory the week of November 30-December 5th. Reheearsals are held in the evenings at the Franciscan Center and run appoximately 5:00 - 9:00 pm.
Cast Member Fees
Production Fee
All cast members are required to pay a $150.00 cast fee. This fee will be assessed on September 15, 2024. This fee covers instruction that occurs during Nutcracker rehearsals; supervision backstage during the shows; and other associated production related costs.
Costume Fee
All cast members are required to pay a $75.00 costuming fee. This fee covers costuming expenses and cleaning fees associated with production related costuming. This fee is assessed to all cast members on 10/15/24.
Other Possible Costs
Each female dancer is required to have pink ballet tights, a nude leotard to wear under their costume, and the supplies to properly pull their hair back as well as their own stage make up and required ballet shoes. Male dancers are required to have black ballet tights and black ballet flats.
Other Possible Cast Activities
Sylvania Fall Festival Parade
Some cast members will be asked to participate in the fall festival parade on October 19, 2024.
Clara's Tea
Some cast members will be required to work Clara's Tea on November 3, 2024.
Other Public Appearances
Some cast members will be required to attend community events to help with promotion of the Nutcracker production!
Cast Party - All cast members and their parents are invited to a cast party/open house on December 22, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. More information to come on this fun wrap up to our production!

8/22
Advanced Dancer Auditions
7:45 - 9:00 pm - Dancers who are proficient in center on pointe.
8/24
Ages 4 - 12+ Auditions
1:00 - 1:30 pm - Ages 4-6
1:45 - 2:15 pm - Ages 7-8
2:30 - 3:15 pm - Ages 9-10
3:30 - 4:30 pm - Ages 11+
Some dancers may be asked to stay for next audition slot.
Audition Details
- Ballet attire required
- Females - Black leotard, black skirt (optional), pink ballet tights, ballet flats and pointe shoes (if applicable); Hair in ballet bun
- Males - Black shorts or ballet tights, black ballet shoes, white shirt, hair pulled away from face if applicable.
- $10 nonrefundable audition fee
- Fee will be applied towards $150 per student production fee
- Registration required for audition
- Please arrive with headshot of dancer and make sure you have completed a Nutcracker Audition Form and Performer Contract for each dancer auditioning from your family. Headshot will be kept with casting team.

- Cast list will be announced via email to all students who audition no later than 9/3/24.
- Auditions are open to non-Toledo Met dancers ages 7+.
- All students auditioning that are ages 8+ must have had at least one year of formal ballet instruction over the past academic year.
- All students ages 4-6 must be enrolled in a ballet/creative movement class during the fall 2024 semester either at Toledo Met. Evidence of enrollment may be required.
